Charlie Rose Interview:  The H.I.V. Epidemic (Part 1)

In 1992 I was interviewed by Charlie Rose about the HIV epidemic, along with other experts in New York City.  Please take a look at both parts of the video.  The AIDS epidemic seems so long ago, but we can learn a lot from our public health history and see how far we have come in combatting H.I.V. and A.I.D.S.  Let me know what you think!

In the second part of the Charlie Rose interview, Rap duo Salt-N-Pepa, Cheryl James and Sandra Denton, focus on their new single promoting AIDS awareness.  A panel of teenage AIDS educators (STAR Theater actors) share their stories and discuss the importance of safe sex practices.  GMHC activists Michael Shernoff and Richard Elovich, Dr. Cydelle Berlin, and Helen Gasch of the HIV Center at Columbia explain methods for educating different communities about AIDS prevention.
